Chris Bruck may have been the first actor with Down syndome but do u know he was not the first person to be on prime time tv. The first was a women with Cerebrail Palsey Geri Jewell . She was on the tv show called the facts of life. Here is a clip of her work on the show

Yes, I remember Chris Burke very well. (In 1992 I read a Reader's Digest article on the man and his impact on the TV industry).
Some years ago - 2001 - there was a Facts of Life marathon.
Often these firsts tell us something about ourselves. And it's the long-term impact which we remember.
